Bird Paradise

The ecolodge is located within the Rio Bitaco forest reserve, which results in the house being surrounded by a well preserved cloud forest.

 

There is a private road 3 km from the house to the main road on which we have observed more than 300 species of birds during the day and at night!

More than 350

species of Birds

We have maintained bird feeders in the house and garden for several years. Currently up to 17 species of hummingbirds and up to 30 species of colorful tanagers (including of course, the multicolor tanager), flower piercers, and honeycreepers can be observed and easily photographed. From the house you can also enjoy the view to the surrounding forest where you can find Quetzals and Toucanets.

Gastonomy and
accommodation

The house was built in 1991. It is a beautiful house made with bricks and wooden details in the interior.  It has two double rooms, each with a queen bed and private complete bathroom. 

 

There are two additional rooms, each with two bunk beds, single bed, and an adjacent complete bathroom.
